Following the tsunami on Boxing Day 2005 many people gave generously to help the plight of the suffering nations. Through generous donations from the directors and staff of Peter Brotherhood Ltd and the Peterborough Community Church we have been able to help some of the people of Sri Lanka.

We have developed relationship with our new coalition partner ‘The Alliance Development Trust’ (A.D.T.) who have been acting on our behalf to purchase the manufacture of a 28 foot Multi Day Fishing Vessel that will be used by 7 families, in partnership together, thus providing a livelihood from fishing for families that lost everything in the tsunami.

We are also seeking to establish a family home that will take care of orphans as a result of the tsunami. This is not proving easy with the renewed civil war in Sri Lanka. Our coalition partners A.D.T. continue to look for the best house parents. There are many orphans as a result of the civil war in addition to those orphaned by the tsunami.
